Documentary films are always made by people who hate screenwriting…right?
It was my honor and pleasure to co-edit this documentary, Beyond the Table, about F.A.R.M Cafe, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, pay-what-you-can community cafe that is 90% volunteer-operated. Their mission is to Feed All Regardless of Means.
It was also my pleasure to take the lead in planning the screening of this documentary and moderate a panel of speakers from our community.
Made in 2022, this high school senior project, Women, which I directed and edited, explores what it means to be a woman and the impact that women around us have on members of my community.
From seemingly harmless teasing to sexual harassment, and from healthy role models to life-changing power, women have experienced life deeply, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to explore our relationship with the world through this lens.
This short film also premiered at UNCW’s Reel Teal Film Festival in 2022.
